Son of a gun

Hi amigeos (hehe)

Today i'm going to write about a chilean writer that i admire, is one of the best chilean writers i think but isn't that famous like Mistral or Neruda or Parra. Maybe the problem is that in our country the people doesn't read too much, perhaps because the high prices of the books (but all got that smartphones that cost like an eye) or because a problem in our culture, i mean, it's like no one likes to read, maybe because they see in that an obligation or something, really i don't know. But, enough with the reflections, i'm going to move straight to tell you all about Manuel Rojas. He's chilean, but he was born in Buenos Aires in 1896. The relation with Argentina in his childhood was solid, because his family went from BAs to Santiago, then went back to Mendoza, and at the end he settle down in Chile. One of the things that i admire is that he cross the Andes mountain chain at foot, also travel into some trains that in that decades join both of the countries. He left school about his 11 years old, but never stop his education, he was a self-educated man and learned about so many things, he work painting, writing, electricist, work in the trains, etc, He did a lot of things. All of that is writed on his famous novel that it's called: Hijo de ladrón. He had a really close relation with the anarchy, i think that was because he was so free, or thats is maybe what he feel, moving around two countries and by foot, doing a lot of differents jobs, reading a lot of books. I admire him, he was like a true artist, a humble one. I recomend you to read his work, he wrote a lot of things, not only novels. He wrote poetry, magazines, manifests, tales, storys, etc. I remember one of his tales, called "Canto y Baile", that is located in a brothel. There, two gangs totally opposites. the Palomillas and the Ladrones, had an encounter, a violent one... The style of writing is in "chilean", i can say haha, they all are from the underworld so they speak like the "coa" of that time. Here is a quote:

"Tan diablo y tan maldito que eres y por dos chuzacitos que te pegué ya te estás muriendo…"

He has some other tales that are really good. I thint that if i meet him i would talk with him like hours, because his mind and his toughts really like me, and it would be awesome to share some words with  my favourite chilean writer. I would ask him how was his journey crossing the Andes, and some other things. But he died in 1973, so that isn't going to happend ): He died in March, 7 months before the start of the dictatoriship, i think that if he doesn't died naturally, they would kill him because his political posture, i don't think that he had scape...

Here is a poem:

Gusano

Lo mismo que un gusano que hilara su capullo,
hila en la rueda tuya tu sentir interior;
he pensado que el hombre debe crear lo suyo,
como la mariposa sus alas de color.

Teje serenamente, sin soberbia ni orgullo,
tus ansias y tu vida, tu verso y tu dolor.

Nascimento, 1927.

That's all, i hope you all stay cool. (about the heat wave)

Bukowski isn't that good

Hi Geofriends, i'm actually doing a entry that was missed in my pc haha and it's about a book that i'll like 2 share with y'all. The writer is Henry Miller, a normal guy with a really open mind. I think that's, in a few words, is the best description of him. I like almost all of his books, because he had like an abstract form to combine the words in a way that it's like poetry but about his normal (not so normal) life. For this entry i'm gonna talk about Tropic of Cancer, that was the first Millers book that i read, i think it was about 7 or 6 years ago. It's about his travel to France in the decade of 1930, the time between wars. But isn't a normal travel like a touristic one, he went to Paris to write, to try to get some inspiration, like i think others artist have done before, but the way he told the days that he stayed there, sleeping in the streets, being hungry because he hasn't money and speaking with other writers and painters about the art is something beautifull. Like an advertence, this book also it's like a porno book, it was censored when he publish it because the explicit scenes of sex in the underworld of a Paris full of artists. But the central think about what is the art, who is and artist and some other topics full of reflection and self-reflection are the thinks that makes the book a really good one.
I hope y'all read a lot, because it's the best way to learn how to listen to...

PD: Paris was such a licentious place in that time!!!

Family trees

I can say about my birthdays that the most of them was really calm and simple. I remember had a lot of food and also that akward feeling when all the people start to sing that repetitive birthday song and you dont know what face you can put or where you can look, because all the people are looking at you! Yes, that moment its like a trauma to me hahaha, so uncomfortable! But im going to tell you all about my latest birthday, that wasnt in my actual birth date but it was in the same month (April). That day all my middle brothers (whos are also born in April, and one of them in March) decided to do a big celebration. That was a really cool thing because i dont see them often ('cause family issue) and for the first time we are all joined in our grandpa house eating and talking about so many things. That night in San Fernando was really cool, about the 4-5 am it start to rain really hard, so we move inside and continue the celebration. It was such a great night, and morning, because at the next day we all went to play football haha. Now i hope that we can have another day like that, maybe we will celebrate in Venezuela (there lives one of my brothers) or Concepción or in here, Santiago. It is really cool to me to share moments with them, because im not use to be the little brother, trying to learn from the others.

Hope y'all be good, and drink water to avoid the heat atacks!.

Bye, we'll meet again in a week!

PD: This topic reminds me this song
Eh Eh, its your birthday, we gonna party like its you birthday

Days on the south

Hi geo m8,Im going 2 write 'bout the last weekend, that was a long weekend, so I took a little vacations and use that time to visit my nephews and niece in Concepción. Before all, the friday i went to San Fernando, to see my dad and his dog Luna, a little thing that is really full of love. The begining of the trip to Conce was at the morning of Sunday, i went on the bus with my brother and his lady, dont know how to define that relationship but they are going to be father and mother in, maybe, May of the 2017. The thing is that the trip was a little bit boring 'cause they usually put a movie, but this time they didn't. When we finally arrived i was so happy, also 'cause we went sat like 5 hrs, my ass ended like a piece of marble or something. At my another brothers house we were spected by my nephews (one of them is 9 years old, and the other one is 2 years old), my niece (she is 8 years old) and the dogs of the house Gaspar and Melchor. Im a big fan of the dogs (dont think that i dont care bout the childrens hahaha)so i was really happy, both of 'em r really big boys, just one can make u lose ur balance, so when they went to say hello, i ended at the floor with tonges everywhere!

I ate a lot, the days that was halloween the childrens was sad 'cause it started to rain like the world would end, it rain like side to side, but we play jenga and then sang at the karaoke, so at the end they feel good and i was happy 'bout it.

I arrived to Santiago yesterday, the trip was direct so it tooks like 8-9 hrs, i was really exhausted, its crazy how a trip where you just are in a chair can be that tiring. Had a joke about that, that i has to draw a new line in my ass haha.

Well, thats all, i hope y'all have had a cool weekend, at least the time we went outside the routine can be relaxing.

Chill.

PD: I had listened this song of Pink Floyd and it blows my mind, i like 2 spend time with my brothers 'cause they had a really good music taste.

Some journeys are better on our foots than in a vehicule

Hi Geofriends!

I would like to tell you about one of the most beautiful vacations that i had. I went to Torres del Paine, on the Magallanes Region, and it was a really cool experience! I think that maybe you have listen or seen something about this place, because is one of the most visited landscapes in our country, besides it also appear in the one thousand pesos bill (if some of you have never noticed that). I went there with my sister, she invited me, but both of us planed the trip. First we go to Puerto Natales, a little town that is "close" to the national park, then we start our adventure... In the Torres are 2 recurrent ways to treking, one of them its called the W, because it has like that form, and also there is the O route, that has the W and the north part of the Torres. The first is the most easy way, because it has the Torres del Paine (thats the name of one of the mountains) and the ways are more used for the tourists. The another way, the O, has really difficult parts where you can hurt yourself if you dont go with carefull. In the travel we do that second and difficult way, carring out backpacks with food, a tent (that has to be a strong and little one because of the wind), clothes and equipement to do our treking ready for anything that could happened and to cook our meals. All of those things do the backpacks really heavy, like 25kg or something! that was a big thing beside the fact that we are in the middle of the forest or the mountain, walking, climbing and going on with our adventure. I really like it, because we had enough time to do the treking and see those beautiful landscapes that make you say WOW. I remember seen the southern Patagonian ice field at the top of a mountain and it was like, dont know, i cant describe it, its like seen the sea but instead of water, you can see glaciers all over the mountains!
The journey was exhausting, because the distance we walked with our backpacks was like 300km, sometimes going up, sometimes going down, sometimes in a clear and good route, sometimes preaching for our lives hahaha, but it was really really really good, seen that you dont need a vehicule or something, that you can move and do a lot of things just with your foots its something that makes you think that maybe we dont need vehicules, just need time.

I hope that some day you will go there, you will see the Glaciers and the mountains, and the forests full of Lengas, before all desapear because the climate change and the participation of the human polution. Its isnt cheap but i think that its value more than all the money you could pay for it, also i think its just save the money for a thing that would change your life and make it more free.

See you, friends, remember the places that we have in here, also they are beautiful and we have to protect them, like the cajón del Maipo, Panul, quebrada de Macul and some other.

Bye :3

Hi GeoBloggers!! :3

Inside the internet there are some amazing websites, and others that aren't. Everyday people create new websites and i think that my favourite is SOUNDCLOUD. That website have millions of songs that you can't find in YouTube, IMusic, Spotify and some others websites of music. I like it very much because it have songs that i really want to hear but 'cause they are so underground its a BIG problem to find them. Another cool thing about that website is that the songs are, the most of them, in high quality and they aren't so heavy like the YouTube videos, thats a good thing when you want to listen to some online music in a travel or something and your mobile internet isn't so good. I found out about it thanks to a dj that upload his music only to that site, but the thing that made me falled in love with that website was that i found in there that i really like, but in that time i didnt know his name. Now i don't visit SoundCloud so often because i have done a hard work to colect my favourites songs and albums in cd's and pendrives, but whenever i wan't to listen to some new music i visit the website that once gave me a lot of happiness. Also, they start to use publicity in the website, and a lot of artists that i like went to other pages more massive like Youtube.

Here are some links that i think that you all would like.
